To tie in with the on the wagon thread of DirtyJester's can we have a poll?

Yes

No

Rarely

Too much

If you are on the wagon update your location and offer your support:)

Super rarely. Hardly ever. And never, ever get drunk since... well it's been years :p

I'm happier sober.

Onestly ossifer, i never touch a drop

Fairly often really, but more a glass of nice wine over dinner than vomiting in someone's garden these days

Rarely

My Main reason for only drinking rarely being I like to be able to always drive my car..

I remember when I was off the roads for speeding I was in the pub almost every night....;)

What would be too much? Like... over thirty units a week?

I reckon drinking on a daily basis and exceeding 50 units a week. drinking a Pint and half a night is not really a lot IMO.:o

This is the Governments weekly guidelines.

The government advises that people should not regularly drink more than the daily unit guidelines of 3-4 units of alcohol for men (equivalent to a pint and a half of 4% beer) and 2-3 units of alcohol for women (equivalent to a 175 ml glass of wine). ‘Regularly’ means drinking every day or most days of the week.

Yep.

Probably too much.

But if you are naive enough to believe that the Rec. amount of daily units is the same for everyone - then you deserve to spend your life worrying that you are drinking too much ;)

I work shifts - I don't drink for 4 days at a time - then for 4 days I drink 4-6 bottles of 5% beer a day -sometimes more. If it's a night out (once a month at most) I drink a bit more.

At 41 - I've never been to the hospital in my life - I'm fitter than 90% of the people I know my age (train 4 nights a week) - and most importantly - I'm more mentally stable and happier than 90% of the people I know, yet most people say I drink "too much"

In that case I would say I'm a regular drinker but I don't overdo it.

I drink about three/four nights a week.

Yes, but only on the weekends, and also if I am not going out. Normally only 4 cans, but it is usually strong beer (7%+). If I got out on the weekend it can be a lot more. It's my last vice. I used to do a lot of other things as well.

Some weekends i really fancy a few drinks but can then go weeks without like of like a serial killer in that respect eventually i have to give in to the urges lol

I didn't drink alcohol until I was 40 years old (15 years ago) and I also had my first curry on the same night.
I have two bottles a week at the most depending on if I have one or two gigs a week.

No, haven't had a drink in almost 20 years.

Had a rather bad drink problem in my early 20's, ie plenty of vodka in the mornings before I could function properly and one day just decided enough was enough.

I consider anything above 3/4 glasses of wine per week + maybe one proper blowout per month quite a horrible thing to do to your body. It just ****s your **** up. Anyone who is taking part in any real physical training will know this.

Oh and for me it's rarely. It just doesn't appeal to me. I blame the parents.
