So guys and gals. Where do we think Schumacher will finish in the next F1 race (providing he does race that is ;)).

Options can be:

  • 1st
  • 2nd
  • 3rd
  • 4th - 6th
  • 7th - 9th
  • 9th +
  • No finish
What do you think?

I'll go for 4th - 6th place.

Jon

In the points, as much as I dont want him to win! I would like to see a battle between him, Hamilton, Vettel and Button (cmon Button get your **** in gear :))

1st or DNF I think. Valencia is tight, lot of wing, start finish straight is only aero pass opportunity. Revised 09 dynamics and minimal drivers aids will play a part. Then again he could drive 9/10th's and secure points. Tough question.

he doesnt have a championship to worry about, so he might as well go balls to the wall. he'll place as high as the car is capable of.

It's going to be really tough for him - no matter what he does over the next three weeks, his fitness and race craft aren't going to be up to scratch. I expect he'll bring it home in a reasonable 4-6th as the OP suggested unless there's an accident. Give him a couple of races to get back in the game.

Remember he hasn't raced an F1 car for longer than Lewis has been racing them!

I'd like to know how strict the testing ban is. Are Ferrari allowed to give him an old 2008 spec car to play with for a couple of weeks to work on fitness? What's the fastest thing he can drive within the testing ban?

I personally think that he won't finish the race on his first outing.

lol wut? if he can do this in the rain when he didnt need to push and not fall of the track even though he was pretty much power sliding im sure he can finish a race aslong as his car doesnt suffer from a mechanical failure or a crash because some young gun wants to race the master.

He won't finish, or maye even start. He physically isn't up to it - he's injured, and his neck isn't up to it any longer.

We don't know how serious his injury is. Fitness could be an issue which is why I'd expect him to put a few hundred laps on an 2008 car - just to get the fitness back.
