I'm thinking definitely in the points, and possibly on the podium.

I think his talent will more than make up for his lack of recent experience. I'm sure he knows a huge amount about the car having been their consultant since he stopped racing.

The car isn't bad either, I think with him at the wheel he'll be on the podium first or second race back (barring mechanical failures / people punting him off etc.)

He won a Kart race the other week, he is still very sharp and surprised himself. 20,000 RPM, super sticky slicks that last 15 minutes provide a good fitness test. Button used Karts off season for training. Then we had a 19 year old do OK in F1 with no testing. Mansell was quicker than schumacher in a come back race in 1994 aged 41 after retiring 2 years earlier, so he could be up there.

I was just answering the other guys questions, not doubting him!

In the points, I'd say 4th or 5th.

What happens to Massa's points, are they added to Schumacher's or are they treated independantly?

Looks like 59% of you were correct. :D

Edit: In fact no, I fail. I thought this was for the year.... DOH. Either way he still finished in the points.

I completely missed this poll.

Just looking at the results though, 59 people thought he would finish on the podium. Some people even thought he would finish 1st.

I'm not sure if these votes were serious.

To be fair though, I think a lot of these people were expecting the Mercedes GP team to dominate much like Brawn did last year, what with having Brawn GP to build from and now proper funding behind them. As it turned out they were merely above average.

I don't think however, many people expected Schumacher to take the pasting he took from Rosberg, this season has done Rosberg's rep the world of good.
