Second hand 9800Pro, Call of Duty 1, a server and you're laughing ;). None of this nancy new card nonsense. I'll show you how to have fun on £15-£20 never mind ££££££ :D.

Nvidia's leaked 177.26's fixed my problems, Amazing things are fixed just as new cards are about to rollout lol

ATI do sort their drivers so that's why i'm going back to a cheaper card with more reliable driver updates

Nvidia seem to fix when they want not as they're needed

Well i have 2x8800gtx's and 2x9800gtx's so no i wouldnt ,, hahaha .

I will retract my statement and say " if ATI released a top of the line card that was TWICE as fast the top of the line Nvidia card , i might think about it .

Other than that , i will not buy AMD/ATI anything :P
 
It looks like ATI are gonna make a killing this summer from the current poll results.
And good for them I say! Im despising nvidia's marketing and arrogance more and more by the millisecond!
So far they are up by a 30% margin!

Prolly the 4870.

Don't really need the epic speed of the 280 just yet, my 9800GTX is fast enough for 99.9% of stuff, just want the extra mem bandy the 4870 offers so I can run AA etc at higher res's than my 98 without the big hit.

Then i'll change to the 280 or whatever is out 3-6months down the line when they are all revised and cheaper :D
 
need to see the differance first but id love to see ATI do well, in the past ive gone from one to the other (nvidia > ati > nvidia > ati > nvidia etc) so having been with nvidia for the past 2 years it would be nice to go back to ATI

So it was you who told Nvidia about ATI's new architecture (R600) and told NV that it was going to be a flop and to revert back to plan A?. :D
 
This has obviously been posted before, but does anyone have a rough guess at the prices?

also I occasionally see posts with people saying ATI image quality is better, is that still relevant? or was it at one point and is still being perpetuated?
