i think it might be interesting to do another poll on February 1st. By then we'll know what squads teams have to take into the last few months, and how the xmas period has effected each.

United always come good from Feburuary, everyone wrote them off before the summer started as they only made 1 real big signing in Michael Carrick. Ferguson has proven everyone wrong how good his squad is, personally I think United will last the distance and win the league. Chelsea has shown this season they sometimes falter against some mediocre teams where they really shouldv'e won. I see them doing that a couple more times this season.

Yes Chelsea does have better strength in depth in their squad, can't argue about that but if anyone can win the league with teams you never think can win it, Ferguson can. "you can't win the Premiership with kids" remember ? :p

In fairness to united, four or five players have been transformed this season.

Scholes is back to his very best.
Giggs has developed a whole new dimension to his game to deal without the pace he once had.
Louis Saha has stayed fit and been clinical
Ronaldo has matured beyond all expectations.
Fletcher does not look crap anymore. :D

34 47.89% for MAN U what a joke.

29 40.85% for Chelsea

Dont vote for the team you WANT to win, the team you think will win.

Man U have only won 1 trophy in 2 years and that was the mickey mouse cup.

Harldy a joke. They are leaders after 12 games and grinding out the tough results.

Why is Arsenal on the list?

I dislike Manchester and Chelsea, but I'd rather see Manchester win as I'm concerned the league might end up in a 'Chelsea always winning' rut. I think they can do it, but I wouldn't back that up with money...

I've got to say Chelsea will win it, even though I want Manroo to. It's fairly obvious that Man Utd's first 11 is very impressive at the moment, but with a few injuries in the wrong places it can all change.

Man Utd are playing some awesome football at the mo, but still think Chelsea with pull through, reckon it will be a very close one this year.

the mancs are playing at ( and beyond ) the peak of their abilities at the moment whereas Chelsea still have loads more to come , can't see how anyone will beat Chelsea to the title

I would like to see Utd win it for obvious reasons but I think that the squad is maybe one or two players short in the midfield and forward areas. Our Best XI vs Chelsea's Best XI vs Arsenal's Best XI, I would be hard pushed to pick anyone of them who I want in our first team other than what we have.

A lot of it comes down to form also. Drogba looks like a player who you could hang your hat on to score every game and the same can be said of Saha. This time last year, the pair of them were missing a lot more chances. Moreover, I think Carick will get better with time. Overall Chelsea just edge it for me atm because of their greater strength outside the first XI

GK- VDS

DEF Neville
DEF VIDIC
DEF RIO
DEF Heinze

MID Carrick
MID Scholes
MID Giggs
MID Ronaldo

FW Rooney
FW Saha

Some of it comes down to form and the other the relative systems the top 3 teams play. At the moment I think our team complements each other well. The big question mark would be over Carrick and out of all the players available then someone like Essien, Makalele or Gilberto Silva would be 1st choice abouve him.

I'm not saying they are world beaters by any stretch of the imagination. As a team though they are greater than the the sum of their individual parts though. My point is that betweent he top three teams I don't think their is a lot to pick between the very best 1st choice XI's and I think the table currently supports that. Not to say it wont be completely different come May time. Who knows, Liverpool might actually score from open play on the road and get a few points ;)

I think Henry, Cesc and Gilberto are all better than Man U's equivalent without a doubt. I would have Ronaldo (footballing reasons only, really dont like him) and Rooney in Arsenals first 11 over our current ones i think. The others are a lot more debatable.
