POLL: Will you be moving from Haswell to Skylake?

Happy with my X5650 + 7970 combo, until something massive comes out next that will demand more (HL3, or similar) I may as well stay put.

I wanted to upgrade a few months ago, but my rig still holds up quite well. Runs GTA5 at high settings at 60fps.

Maybe, if skylake features a proper soldered ihs assembly id be very tempted.

Maybe if rumors hold true to performance where there is a 20-25 percent increase over ivy clock for clock. And the extra lanes etc for pcie ssd cards. I would jump on it if the rumors are true.
So i guess for now my answer is...
MAYBE :D
 
To put it bluntly, no. The next thing in performance I will be upgrading is the GPU, then possibly to an i7 in the distant future
 
Not likely - very happy with my Haswell. Plus of course these new chips will in all probability produce more heat as well.
