Hi People,

I'm looking to buy a couple of Pool cues, wanna go and hold em first before i buy it, not looking to spend more than £100

suggestions?

Pool.

Me and a mate recently joined a snooker club, and we prefer pool to snooker, and the cues are pretty much screwed so we want to get our own.

is there a difference between pool cues and snooker cues?

we'll most likely get Pool Cues for now, when we go to the club we always play it, plus we can never remember what colour you pot the balls in for snooker anyway :p

nope not a member of Riley's

this place has a doorway entrance then you walk up some stairs and go through a security door, and then behind the bar is an Emo Kid you show your member ship card and he knows we play pool, gives us the balls and then gives us our "usual" table and it's all good :)

about 7 tables all in all....maybe 8

Primarily it's the size of the tip. If you play normal UK 8-ball pool you can easily use the cue for snooker as well. Go for a 9.5mm tip, then find one the right weight for you, I use a very light cue (17.5oz).

These balls are the spots/stripes variety....does that make a difference?

I also prefer a very light cue, whereas my mate loves em when the back of it is very heavy
 
thanks for all the replys guys, me and me mate are going down rileys on saturday, might check out that cue guy in southend aswell

your talking about pool games lasting an hour? we only get that because we are crap :p

mind you, got 7 games in last week in 2 hours
