Poor Delivery Man

Wow.

I didn't think that I could read a thread capable of giving me the urge to just get rid of my PC altogether and buy a Mac Pro.

*fights with himself*

I'd like one, but they're too expensive for me. I've got a nice Dell 2950 to play with in the meantime anyway :D

(Yes I know it's a server but who's going to complain when it's got 24GB of RAM?)

Forget pics, I want specs.

All good having pics, but if you lamed out with the single-chip option then the kudos is lost on me :p;)!

2 fans in pic = Quad core goodness!

I don't get this fanatical asking for pics also!? :p

The ACD's use the same panels as Dell monitors IIRC. May be wrong, Dell might be using newer panels now.

I'm in the process of deciding whether I ditch my PC and get a pro or to keep my mini and just use the PC for gaming. One question I do have thou is what it like noise wise? Obviously the Mini is really quiet and thats similar to what I'd want from a Pro

As a fellow recently proud parent to a new Mac pro, it doesn't get very loud at all under load! Only time I really notice the noise on mine is when the DVD drive gets spinning up a lot!

Talbs13, keep an eye on your screen, can you tell me if you get little white speckles (like glitter) every now and then?

I think its just a 2560x1600 dual link thing, but I get it now and then and its annoying. Use to get it on my MBP too, but NEVER on my PC!

Also, the mouse leads are so short cos they are intended to plug into your keyboard (the little usb ports on *** left and right). But the mighty mosue is crap, so don;t bother with it... I don't :)

I got my new MacBook about two weeks ago now, and that just flys!!!
How are byou finding the machine now?

Macs RULE!!!

I want myyyyyy M-T-VVVVVVV

I want myyyyy Mac Proooooooo

/Dire straits

I will keep an eye out for them keogh. Its taking me a while to adapt to Leapord. It has some nice features but feels slightly sluggish every now and then ?. Tiger however seemed great and nippy on my MacBook.

Is there a shortcut key to go straight to the desktop, like "Show Desktop" on PC?

Yeah, F11.

Yeah, but its not the same a s a PC show desktop, I think you want to basically HIDE all windows and go to the desktop, with the F11 show desktop on OS X, it simple slides the windows to the edge of the screen, click again and they are back. As far as I know, theres no such feature in OS X?
