poor download speed

If your modem is still connecting at 6.9mbps but you're only getting those speeds I wouldn't be shocked to find out that it's your current ISP causing the problems. Once you switch over you'll probably see a marked increase in speed...and if you don't, the new ISP will go out of its way to help you as a new customer.

basicaly i can get the same package for cheaper, and after this carry on i'll be glad to see the back of them, i never had any problems with them before.

If you're migrating to a similar awful ISP you'll quite possibly get the same issues.

If it's sky LLU I suspect you'll see a huge improvement.
