Poor porker

Ive done the same around Silverstone this year, 7200rpm, in 3rd and changed to 2nd instead of 4... As Clarkey said, instantly as the clutch begins to bite I KNEW it was in the wrong one. Still caused it to peak around 8000rpm in the split milliseconds that the clutch was biting. I DONT want to hear that noise again lol. The guy held it in 2nd for AGES... And never put the clutch down... what a idiot :/

He doesn't mention anywhere about hitting the clutch and just argues with people who told him to.

yeh his attitude stinks, but i guess most people don't like to be proven wrong or a idiot on the internet..

Problem is that the guy made a mistake but the internet being a faceless entity full of people that are legends at everything they do he gets a torrent of "Why didn't you hit the clutch? I am so pro that when I missed a shift I could tell from the sound of the air as the clutch and drive plate came within 0.1mm of each other that I had miss shiffed and put the clutch back down. I didn't even lose on the strip and still got a 10 second quarter y0" or other such rubbish.

I would probably react like a bit of a tool in the face of that as well.

I can't say that I've ever miss shiffed in anger but I can quite easily see my reaction being "Oh.... that sounds odd........ I appear to be slowing down quite rapidly......... and my gear stick is in the wrong position........ *clunk, rattle, engine dies*......... ......... ah I see what I did there"

Have to admit I've done it too in my 182, excuse was that I'd just got it and wasn't used to the 'box yet. Shifting from 2nd into 3rd I missed and somehow found 1st instead .

Why you'd post it in the first place is beyond me, to then allow people to comment on it is stupidity itself. How often do you see people telling you what they'd have done in the same situation to then look at their profile and see they are 16. YouTube comments are 3 rungs below web forums and look at some of the cretins who comment on this forum about stuff and every other forum come to think of it. YouTube is a place where reading comments is a road to ruin as they are the forum for people who know nothing about anything to 'learn the world good'.
