Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

Anybody read up on porsche LS3 engine swops? im seriously tempted after finishing up my current project. 996 c2 with 500bhp and complete reliability?

Well I'm almost 4 months into my 997.2 ownership and nothing has changed, I simply love the car, I've probably done a few more miles than I wanted to (approx 40 a day commute) and the odd very random just drive a few hundred but I'm sure that will pass, but have just done over 3k since I got it in March. In a way I wish id spent a little more and got a S but in the real world how much difference would 40bhp make? All my earlier niggles and worries have been quashed couple of minor things which I guess I can live with but all in all a brilliant all round car, other than new tyres (ive kept the winters) nothing hopefully other than a MOT in march needs spending till next Nov which is a minor service. Not sure where to take it tbh, its last 3 services have been at 9e which if I'm correct seems to be a pretty good specialist but its too far for me. I'll probably take it to JCT in Newcastle for the service and when they tell me whats wrong and needs doing ill say thanks very much and take it to one of the two Porsche specialists we have up here :)

Having driven a 991.2 C2S with PDDC and power pack the cars ability was simply mind boggling, I have never experienced so much grip in a car ever!

No idea what you'd gain from deleting the rear seats in real world usage. What's the weight saving?

I'm tempted to remove them because absolutely no point as they can't fit anybody in there.... Lol.

Once I've figured out where my water keeps going.... Check engine light on so checked oil reading on dash when cold, 2 below max, check water= no water in expansion tank so thinking it's leaking out underneath. Although expansion tank could be cracked? I'll check today after adding 2litres yesterday.
