Porsche Owners Thread - If you own one or just like or hate them! :)

I'm number 5 in line. Got 5k down so don't know if I will ever get the car or not.

Think you will, if you decide not, sell your place for a profit to someone on PH, as people have being dropping out on the basis its not special enough having a Carrera engine as they wanted more engine wise and giving their slots to others, no doubt for a slight premium. :)

Do it, but in minimum spec, just add the buckets and try to keep your cost below 70k.

Trust me on used market after 3-6 months ownershop you'd make 5-10k profit as enthusiast will want one and buckets will be essential.

If you go over the top with extras and end up paying 80k area, then you'd probably not lose money but probably would not make any either.

End of the day it offers same performance in a straight line as your 911, but looks more aggressive, will be very rare and if you ever do decide to track it then well its a GT car, immense! Stands to lose you little to no money, maybe a profit, whereas your 911 will continue depreciating.

Yes Its very little money on top of my 991 and it will hold value better, I would probably only put a little spec on it and try and move it on after 6 to 12 months.

Hmmm, I have a voice mail form my dealer and I think I can get my self one now if I want it.

Good move or not?

Not a chance, your dealer is pulling your manhood.

If you can, take it and I will get you overs within 2 minutes. I know of several people with a list of Porsches you and I would kill for who are told wait and see, who have put money in to getting one.

If you are genuine and don't want it, email me the dealer and I will send him 5k by direct transfer. [email protected]

I know the numbers coming in, you won't get one if you are number 5 unless the first 4 don't take one. Some OPC's are getting 2 this year...

Yah, I think there is little to change of me getting it but its wroth a go. The only thing working for me is that I just spent £100k with them a couple of weeks ago but so do many other people.

If you can get one get it, they will get 10k-15K overs I feel. If you have 5K in already then well worth the wait and see but from what I am told everyone asked to stump up their 5K who had not and are on the list are stumping up. Lots of mates who have 918's, CGT's etc etc and some of them (not the 918 owners) are unsure, the 918 owners can of course have one first should they wish.

Porsche decides these days. Only good news is that most the 918 owners also have 991 GT3 RS's on LOI and that is due to arrive a similar time so out of the two I know which one I would take....

That's right, both :D

Haha as you say more or less no chance but no harm done trying. I actually would keep the car for a while and would be happy if I come out even as I would get a year of free motoring.

But I am still loving the 991, such a amazing car. I just cant wait to get some proper tyres on it and for the weather to get better.

Great car, but I think it's lacking something I can't put my finger on, so not for me I don't think.

I know what you are saying but thats because I think you want something a little more focused than me. Try out a GTS you may find you like it and with the way the euro is there are some good discounts to be had on a eu import.
