Need to source a 4TB portable drive, for use primarily with an apple mac laptop, smart tv, and occasionally an android phone.
Been a while since i've needed to look at portable drives, so i'm a little out of touch really.
Other than the above requirements, it'll need to be fairly resilient and sturdy, portable only no external power source requirement (although i do remember some used to have that as an optional extra)
I've never been a great fan of the micro usb 3.0 socket, as I think it's weak and prone to getting damaged, so usb C would be nice.
HDD rather than SSD purely from a cost stand point
So what do you guys like/recommend?
Is it also worth considering a custom enclosure, and adding my own drive ?
