Portal Update

Havnt seen a thread around here yet for this so here it is.

What do people think of the portal update with the addition of radio's that broadcast Morse code and noise when held in certain positions on the levels?

Certainly very interesting could this be a sign for ep3? or Portal 2? or just a way to get people playing portal again.

What do you guys think?

From the info gathered so far I am leaning towards this leading up to the Episode 3 announcement.

hopefully, apparently its the GDC next week so hopefully we will get an announcement then.

You say it with such certainty. Combining the two would mean them forcing a lot of extra content in, I can see them trying it but at present I can't see it working. It would all feel a bit forced.

All this info is pointing to two separate things, a dialup login terminal to which no-one has figured out the login yet, and some images use the same logo's from the What's In The Box video & site from last year, I'm trawling through that stuff in case the username & password are hidden in that stuff.

And I say it with certainty since that has been the stated goal since the fat ******* brought the Narbacular Drop team into the Valve family.

My guess is on the 11th March you will receive something for having that achievement.

How the hell do you get the transmission in chamber 3... the one with the first gap you have to get across. I'm walking it around and getting the static but it's just not triggering.

EDIT: Nevermind. It's high up. I'd been dropping it through the roof already just not quite at the right place.

About time anyways that there was news on either Half Life or Portal. Of course, last time there was going to be a big Valve announcement it turned out to be L4D2, any chance this is all for L4D3

I thought the whole idea about episodic content was that lots of small bits of content could be released frequently rather than having to wait years for each bit.

It's got to be either Episode 3 or Portal 2 related. I'm not bothered which really, only I just wish they would hurry up with it.

I wish Valve would just stop all this marketing rubbish. Everyone will still buy it anyway. Just release the bloody thing. :mad:

Considering Episode 3 is the one everyone is waiting for, all they need to do is hint that its coming, then the whole gaming world goes into a frenzy and does their marketing for them.
