Possible GTX 670 release on 10th May

Hi there

I've got short and ones using GTX 680 PCBs in stock. :D

They shall be over £300 though folks, but not much and damn they are quick! Bencher one today against a 680, I was impressed. :)

Well I only use Heaven and done testing at 1920x1080 4X/4X and certainly not much in it, the 670 shall be an amazing card for the money.

I know the link was posted but I'm guessing not many people actually looked at it, so here are the pictures.

680 is out of my price range and TBH I will never pay that kind of cash for a GPU again as I have done in the past. I maybe tempted at £320 or less as it does look to have decent performance at stock so with some overclocking it should rock.

ya Im in the same boat - was on the fence about spending for a 680 but a 670 seems about right -

:) Had to laugh at that

I think the 670 will be the one for me. I can feel a new BenQ/3D Vision 2 bundle coming on as well. And lets face it, probably a 256GB Crucial M4.

I'm wondering why anyone would pay over £300 for a 670 when surely a better option would be a 7970 for a few quid more.

Is the 7970 a better option though?

My personal issues with NVIDIA and the issues that TweakTown on a whole have pushed right aside, the GEFORCE GTX 670 is just an awesome video card that is going to be a serious headache for AMD. The performance of the video card is really quite crazy and the fact that this is the second option for NVIDIA when it comes to single GPU video cards is bad for AMD when it has no issue competing with their strongest option; the HD 7970.

lol those results are pretty awesome. Let's hope Nvidia don't get greedy with the pricing, a decent price and maybe we'd see some serious price drops by ATI if those TweakTown numbers are anything to go by.

3D Mark 11 > 7970
Unigine Heaven > 7970
HAWX 2 > 7970
Mafia 2 > 7970
AVP ~ 7970
Just Cause 2 > 7970
Metro 2033 ~ 7970
DiRT3 > 7970
FarCry 2 > 7970

I think we should treat the tweak-town preview as FUD.

One look at the Unigine benches should tell you all you need to know about this advert masquerading as a "Preview".

Wait until someone decent has reviewed it properly.
