I could see them pulling off a name like 'Playstation Life'.

Think about it, it's got 3G so is viable for web browsing, voip etc, will be able to play games, video playback, email, etc. By this i mean it, like a mobile phone, would integrate as part of your lifestyle if you needed it to.

Advertising campaign would be a no brainer with a name like that.

But the rumour is that it will be called Vita. Even though Vita means life it would still be called Vita, unless it's been lost in translation somehow. I still think it's absurd and that we'll see a traditional name, not this fruity nonsense.

I can confirm the dev kit name is vita, however it's still too early to say if it will stay that way.

The dev kit is rarely called the same thing as the finished product (Nintendo Revolution -> Nintendo Wii, Natal -> Kinect, etc.)
