Wouldn't be too bad being the half life 3 of graphics cards. At least you'd know when it does appear, it will be groundbreakingly awesome.
Or never turn up at all

Didn't Valve kill off HL3 recently? Something about it not being worked on and all resources devoted to MOBAs and gold toilets.
We are all victims of Steam's success, seems like they don't have to do any **** that they don't want to
Right now the 390X is the Half Life 3 of graphic cards.
This could just be the Silent Hills of graphics cards. A little HBM info (PT) to get us hyped and then it turns out its cancelled. Why else would it take so long? Perhaps the first gen HBM is too expensive to sell the 390X at an appropriate price. Or maybe they're playing nVidia, waiting for the 980ti to launch before knocking it down with the 390x. Heck that's more similarity to the Konami situation, just like they're keeping quiet and not talking about the fiasco, AMD has said jack on the 300 series.
this thread is about speculation bud, people get their hopes up(fueled by rumors)then have them dashed,no one in the pc gaming community has the patience of a saint.(including me)Unfortunately they'd be damned if they did and are being damned for not.
AMD have never given a release date, people have speculated so much that expectations have been set and passed and people are butthurt.
AMD have not confirmed specs, yet speculative hearsay abounds and people get butthurt, yet the speculation continues.
People, it's less than a month now until the (likely) announcement and THEN you can free your collective butts from hurt, depending on the results.
Chill, is your monitor working? Can you game? Then STFU and STFD, it's not your product cycle.

If you say so
no comprende edit, too much of a no sweeping generalization ?
So you can not comprehend that someone has more patience than you in the pc gaming community.
no, what i don't understand is how you can come to that conclusion, based on what i posted.

seemed pointless to ever start it, but anyway , each to their own. enjoy bud.You said (including me) and that's where im going to drop it.
i hope you are rightLol, I just think it's about timing to maximise exposure and sales.
I think AMD are going to time the launch very near to the launch of Windows 10. It's a good plan tbh as there will be big focus on Windows 10 and PC gaming in general, so launching new hardware around that time makes sense.
Upcoming E3 event as well, a first for PC. AMD seem to be making the right moves with marketing, if the cards deliver in performance it will have been worth the wait.

Honestly, I'm not interested in cards £500+. I just want the 300 series to pressure nVidia to price current stuff more competitively.
“Fiji, The World’s First Graphics Processor With 2.5D High Bandwidth Memory”
It is yet unclear whether Hot-Chips Symposium in Cupertino California will be the place where Fiji processor will officially be showcased for the very first time, or just the place where AMD is doing one of the post-launch presentations.
Fiji is the codename of the new flagship GPU that will feature 2.5D High-Banwidth-Memory (HBM) technology. This processor will likely be used for Radeon R9 390 series that are rumored to be unveiled in June. We covered possible Radeon R9 390X specifications in our previous post.
