Don't know why they bothered making these cards (the word 'making' is generous, rebadging and repackaging old stock is more accurate). What a waste of time. Fury had better be something special, or AMD won't be around much longer, not as a player in the GPU market anyway.

So far we know for a fact , FuryX, 390x come in a box that may or may not be white?
All the rest is speculation still or do we have any other facts?

Wow guys all that from what must be one of the worst unboxing videos I have ever seen and no benchmarks. Just wow. :o

The most hilarious thing is the guy has the first "exclusive 290X with 390x on the box" yet didn't know it's just a rebrand. He actually thought it was a new flagship with 4096SPS for $450. Oh the futility of rebrands. I feel a bit sorry for the completely unaware upgrading from 290X to 390X. Then I laugh.

Well, to be honest, there's no spec on the box etc, and since the 290X was a flagship GPU, logic would dictate the 390X would be too :p

R9 390 comes with 2816 cores, that's a lot of performance for what could be a really decent price. The 390X has quite high stock clocks yet TDP has dropped by a big chunk, what witchcraft is this?

Because it's not all about rich people willing to throw money down the toilet on technology that will last for six months at best.

Cheap stuff sells in higher volumes. Look at the Steam GPU chart, at the top was the GTX 960. Having *that* card is what makes you money, not ridiculously priced (and named) items.

Hopefully they have tweaked it a little and made it as good as, or better, than the 970 and 980. That's what they're gunning for with the 300 cards. The Fury will take on Titan but no doubt cost millions to make and thus will carry a stupid price tag.

When they're £300 each or less I'll pounce, until then I just wait.

So this is a guy who thought he'd bought a FuryX/XT/Pro whatever, stated 'It cant do xfire it has no fingers' and what, he was gonna benchmark it. Pretty sure he wont know where to put the card anyway from what I saw on that video, spent more time looking at the floor ffs! :D

Now you know why tigers sometimes eat their young...
