I'm 100% happy with my TX, I knew the 390x was around the corner but it didn't stop me buying. I could have waited for the 390x but that would have meant a poorer gaming experience till then. Once it arrived I would just be questioning whether to wait for the 980ti though if it isn't already out.

You just end up waiting around forever if you think like that.

i sense the TX guys are worried about the 390X.................DEFINITELY, i've sensed this since day one, they're not 100% sure about their cards.....the 970 threads were far more enthusiastic, much more postings too..........this tells me to wait.

how fast we sold out suggests no one was worried :)

I'm pretty annoyed to see AMD announcing 2016 plans before they've delivered on 2015

IF it's ready launch it already ! :D I wan't to know which team to invest in for the next few years. (freesync/Gsync)

I think the 980Ti is more on the minds of people than this card tbh.

Ironically my biggest problem with AMD was driver related, and it might not have even been AMD's fault, maybe just an incompatibility somewhere with other hardware.

I say ironic because people always say "AMD have poor drivers" and I've banged the drum for them, because that isn't (wasn't?) the case

But for whatever reason, I had some audio issues and a VSYNC issue which didn't happen on. The 3 month driver wait was pretty bad, and then to not have a working Dying Light profile was just comical.

I understand it could be a developer issue, rather than a problem on AMD's end, but it didn't help (and SLI works)

The 295x2 via DisplayPort also detected my TV as 2 screens and used MST to stitch them together. Unfortunately for AMD they don't have HDMI 2.0 (understandable, the 295x2 is a year old)

960/970/980 & Titan X has HDMI 2.0 which detects it as one screen so that's another positive. Moving over to Titan X has basically solved all the issues I was having...Sorry AMD :(

The Nvidia guys are hoping AMD makes a balls up hence the increased bull recently especially after the TitanX launch. Talk about insecurity.

AMD will announce the new cards a few weeks before launch as is the case for these types of companies. We are bound to get some leaks over the next 6 weeks as it gets near to launch time in June.

U Wot M8?

I think the nvidia boys want to see the 390X beat the TX. I doubt many of the nvidia boys fancy paying over £900 each Gen for the top cards, as there is little to no competition. A competitive AMD gives more choice to the consumer.

Well said, however I bet there are many who do not want 390X to beat TX and be cheaper :p

I am with you Gregster, more competition the batter for us all. That is why I do not understand the fan-boy/loyalty stuff at all... It's a business, not your wife. lol

He has a point Orangey. The better the competition we have, the more competitive the pricing will be.

Therefore we're left with more money in our pockets for battered products from the local chippy, I personally enjoy a nice battered sausage!

Presumably your disgust is similar to pre 9 series release when nvidia released roadmaps about pascal then?

Or do companies constantly release roadmaps years ahead of current deliveries?

road maps blah blah I just want something solid and reliable from AMD

Like a proper freesync driver and crossfire support.

Oh and news on the 390x so I know when to sell my 295 x2's :)

I don't care what nvidia are doing but i have no doubt they will deliver as promised a 980ti in september.

I don't share the same faith for june :(
