And that would have been fine because it would have just gone right back into the pond.If I'd had a drink in my mouth, I would genuinely have spat it out at this. I proper laughed out loud

Pretty much as Andy says, it’s a nice metric to have and I just like seeing it rise over time. Why? I am honestly interested.
I do yea but I'm thinking of other people, the more people that have access to the MM the more can buy and sell, this works in everyone's favor. You already have MM access, how is this affecting you in any way whatsoever?
Well for one thing, it does quickly identify new members/trolls and considering that this new policy was presumably created in the first place to "promote forum engagement" and "rout the spammers" it makes this even more ridiculous. Why? I am honestly interested.
Maybe we should put it to a voteLet’s get rid of the visible post count.
Not about MM access for me either, I’ve had it years, but it’s unfair on everyone.
The other forums will be spammed senseless too, and that will be harder to keep a lid on.

Might just do itMaybe we should put it to a vote
I thought the thread ban thing made things easier? I think SC has been post count disabled too and that's supposedly strictly moderated.Actually it's easier to keep a lid on the sub-forums that generate arguments (especially CPU and GPU where we have strikes and sports where we moderate a little more strictly too).
That would definitely be a very fair thing to doMight just do it
Thread bans help also - especially if one or two are just arguing for the sake of itI thought the thread ban thing made things easier? I think SC has been post count disabled too and that's supposedly strictly moderated.
I was referring to turning off post counts entirely…That would definitely be a very fair thing to do
He didn't say who would get to voteThat would definitely be a very fair thing to do
How does it help with arguments in certain forums to turn post count off?Thread bans help also - especially if one or two are just arguing for the sake of it
Mass bulk eating 10 times a dayWell, if someone had posted 'what did you have for tea tonight' in La Cuisine and everyone had answered you could have +1'd your post count.
Mods can do what they like really, close the forum for 'reason's', turn it green on a night out, etc etc.
Just go with it or go elsewhere. Other forums are available, and not many members are missed.
The queen is dead but the king is alive.Rob, if you don't like their decisions then try to get in touch with the King at caseking, maybe he doesn't know what's happening and how upset you are
