I do yea but I'm thinking of other people, the more people that have access to the MM the more can buy and sell, this works in everyone's favor.

It's not me I'm worried about, it's others that now can't contribute in GD and get a higher post count, it's not rocket science is it!

Well for one thing, it does quickly identify new members/trolls and considering that this new policy was presumably created in the first place to "promote forum engagement" and "rout the spammers" it makes this even more ridiculous.

The problem is we don't truly know why this was done do we? which is the entire bloody point.

Actually it's easier to keep a lid on the sub-forums that generate arguments (especially CPU and GPU where we have strikes and sports where we moderate a little more strictly too).

The problematic sections are governed to a higher level, you would maybe be surprised to see the amount of people who have lost access to certain sub forums due to trolling, spam etc.

I thought the thread ban thing made things easier? I think SC has been post count disabled too and that's supposedly strictly moderated.

Well, if someone had posted 'what did you have for tea tonight' in La Cuisine and everyone had answered you could have +1'd your post count.
Mods can do what they like really, close the forum for 'reason's', turn it green on a night out, etc etc.
Just go with it or go elsewhere. Other forums are available, and not many members are missed.
