Post count

I said I wouldn't post anymore but as it appears that this has blown up I felt I should comment. I raised this in the sub forums some weeks ago and specifically asked what had happened to the posts in GD and which forums now do count towards it. All the mods in that thread were deliberately evasive and refused to give a straight answer and it would appear that they are happy to die on that hill. It's all starting to make sense now.

If you're going to change how the post counts are tallied at least have the stones to clearly state the changes being made. Maybe you wouldn't have this thread right now if you had been more transparent about the whole thing in the first place.

Peace.
I thought you had gone and weren't coming back?

I did. notice my post count wasn't moving. but didn't really care because I have no interest in the MM. I have 20 years of graphics cards in the loft, and buying second hand is for peasants ;).

It does seem a very Reddit mod move tho.

Well, if someone had posted 'what did you have for tea tonight' in La Cuisine and everyone had answered you could have +1'd your post count.
Mods can do what they like really, close the forum for 'reason's', turn it green on a night out, etc etc.
Just go with it or go elsewhere. Other forums are available, and not many members are missed.

Why? the mods don't own the forum. It's all the members together that make the forums what they are, surely all of our opinions have value.

And as they found out on Reddit during the recent protests, mods are quite expendable :p

I think you'll find that the mods represent the people who do own the forum and as such conduct themselves in a decent manner.

If me, the most frequently banned / suspended / naughty step poster on this forum can attest to the nonsense they have to put up with, you can take that all the way to the bank.
