Post in here if you're a Red Dwarf fan

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but from my understanding of bra sizes, wouldn't 36 make her quite a big girl. I though 36 was the around measurement under the boob. You want a 32D. Much better.

Lol^

Disappointed only to see a face!

Tbh I find myself trying to laugh more than not being able to stop myself, it's not as good as Ihoped , probably as good as I expected, all seems a little forced and scripted

It was alright. Not as good as the first episode, again with lots of jokes that shouldn't really be in Red Dwarf, but overall it was pretty good, with just a few cringe-worthy moments.

Rimmer choosing the computer was funny.

They nicked the vending machine voice from Dude Where's My Car but I quite enjoyed this episode. It was interesting to explore the psychological effects of Lister being his own father. Clearly made with existing fans in mind, not finding it hilarious but it is raising a smile. Next episode looks pretty good, already lolled at the Jesus bit.

The old episodes do have a more natural feel about them and have better jokes. For me these newer episodes remind me of Series 8 which was a bit more silly. Craig Charles is too much like his Corrie character rather than the street wise scouse Lister for my liking. Rimmer and Cat are on form. It's far better than I could have hoped for though and I'll be more than happy if they can sustain this level of quality over the whole 6 episodes. Couldn't help thinking the new computer bit was a slight dig at Norman Lovett. Hope they do at least another series and the quality continues to escalate like they did for the old series'! If they can get anywhere near Season 6 it would be marvellous!!

Actually longer.

Old were about 23-25 minutes, new ones are 45 minutes with ad breaks, probably around 30 minutes total.

As someone who's been recording them on the HTPC and cutting out the adverts, I can confirm that both episode 1 and 2 are almost exactly 30 mins long ;)

And yes, first episode was definitely better than the 2nd.

enjoyed the second ep but agree it wasnt as good as the first. I have to say cat really is on form its like he hasnt even had a break! tbh overall i'm just glad we've got more red dwarf and it isnt absolute junk, the fact the it isnt as good as it used to be doesnt bother me, i lost interest somewhere during series 7 or 8 i cant remember when exactly and to me this new series has so far been better than what i remember of those.

Wasn't the computer supposed to be blonde?

Instead we got some goth with a face tattoo :(

It's way ahead of series 8 and probably on par with 7, it's better than I thought it would be but I do think ep 2 was better then ep1 and I must have seen every episode from series 1 to 7 over 50 times each as I'm obsessed. Cat is brilliant and agree is the same as he was in series 4 as for lister it's a tad forced. Rimmer is good slightly aged now but krytren is great although his head is too small and the wrinkles around his eyes are too obvious.

Overall watched the 2 new ones 3 pr 4 times each and I can't say I ever had the want to do that with series 8 or the specials.

I don't see why everyone dislikes series 8...apart from 1,2 and 6 I think it is probably the best tbh, maybe just behind series 7, but only just. Certainly nowhere near as bad as series 3!

Series 7 is a mixed bag, if you take out the first 3 episodes I think the last 5 are some of the highest quality episodes they ever did tbh. Ouroboros and Tikka To Ride are abominations though!

I didn't think Lister seemed like Lister in this episode... the whole send a card to himself thing? The whole getting ****ed on screen thing? The whole watch the next part of the video thing?

Lister has always been a lovable bum. Some of those are douchey / Rimmer qualities.

Ok-ish episode from me. If first was a solid 8/10 then this was a 5/10.

Agree Nitefly, this snippet from Radio Times sums it up:- "Lister, in years gone by, had a keen wit and a well-rounded personality; last night he was little more than an oaf with a phone."

Still it's good to have it back and it's much much better than expected.

I did like how they stuck with the joke and it escalated to the cut-out guitar though, it did get a genuine lol from me. I preferred 2nd episode to the first though.

I like the fact Grant Naylor threw in a semi-plausible explanation for the quantum rod in the form of interconnectedness. Wonder if this had anything to do with Brian Cox's 'diamond' debacle.

I totally disagree with you here, I like the first 3 episodes of S7 and can't be bothered with the rest! Series 8 I cannot be bothered with at all.

I would say that the sequence in series 7 of Duct Soup - Blue - Beyond A Joke - Epideme - Nanarchy was quite strong.

....come on! even the biggest Red Dwarf fan has to admit that Ouroboros is just too much BS:p

Series 8 is a bit marmite...I personally think it is quite good, but I can totally understand why a lot of fans didn't like it(iirc, I didn't like it at all when it was originally aired)

Didn’t like that ep myself which is why this one was never going to be a hit with me considering it is a semi sequel, but it does hi-light why series 7 was such a failure, in series 7 when the eps was bad it had no redeeming qualities, were as in class dwarf even if I didn’t like the episode there was still plenty of laughs in it.

This ep was a bit like this while I didn’t like the overall story it still had some good moments.
