For 3DMark and probably Doom 3, yes. Probably not for other stuff.

My first 3DMark scores with my 7800GTX overclocked by detecting optimal frequencies. I wish i hadn't though I think I may be getting the overclocking bug and bought my systme on the basis I wouldn't be doing any!

Installed a new 7800GTX Extreme Edition yesterday, managed to hit 8444 marks in 3DMark05, everything at stock speeds...

EDIT:

Installed the latest 81.85 drivers, and now get 8401... Phew, just about broke 8400 with these...

I rekon it's being read wrong because futuremarks aprroved drivers for nvidia are the ForceWare 77.72 Drivers and I don't think anyone is using them anymore seeing as 78.01 are the newest official ones on nvidias site.

Dismall or what? I should also mention that 3DMark2003/2005 cause my computer to die upon running them.

Cacheless 2.56Ghz Celery, Intel Intergrated Graphics, some other awful bits.

Soon though, 7800GT + 3800X2 be all mine...

Managed to hit 8733 today with 81.55 drivers... Can't seem to overclock the core on my 7800GTX Extreme much past 500, but the ram goes upto 1380...

Anyone else have much success overclocking a 7800GTX Extreme?
