Im still top in 2001se? I hope my new cpu cooler keeps me under 60C so I can run 3dmark @ 2.4ghz and I will be trying the XT mod tomorrow with some conduccy paint. 27k anyone?
 
Well, I can honestly say with all my years of knowledge of building pc's I have never made a bigger mistake than to buy a P4 over an Athlon64, 01 score drops almost 2000 points and thats just on stock speeds. I think I may sell up and start over :)

You dont really notice 'i guess' I cant say for sure as I have never had an A64. But benchmark scores, especially 3dmark01. I cant even get near the '01 score of a person with an A64, even when its only really a medium spec pc. I get around 23k, I think if I had an A64 I would be getting more around 25/26k so its a bit of a difference. Playing games wise though im not sure how much difference it would make, but if you want the best 3d performance I would say get an A64.....

Indeed these new A64 chips are pretty incredible with a new x800

Mmm, wonder how much quicker mine would be after a rebuild etc... My gfx card is stock but the CPU is 2500 @ 3200 haven't tried pushing any more cause of it being a shuttle :(

Just to confirm how nasty a NVIDIA 5700LE is my score was 1708 in 3D Mark 03 - however it did play games fine, but I still changed it for a Rad 9800P :)
