Post your bikes thread

My Honda XR125L, you'll have to excuse the rust, her previous owner had let her sit in his garage for 2 years without any TLC. Speaking of which, has anyone got any tips on rust removal/protection, and cleaning products?

In relation to your rust question...

To help prevent rust on my CBR i use a Scotoiler product called "365", it helps neutralize salt. Its done wonders over the winter for me. As for removal i can only think of using Autosol, never tried it but a mate of mine who has a lot of chrome on his bike uses it. Only way i ever got rid of rust on the exhaust pipes on my first bike was to sand it all off and re-paint, but it was quite bad.

Yep don't know why people stick motorcycle race cans on scooters look well daft & sound carp IMHO.

what's with the exhaust looks so out of place ,made me laugh though.:D

Was on it when I bought it, looks nothing like that now, caked in crud :p

I am looking to put the standard one back on, if I cant find a quieter aftermarket one

That photo above makes me chuckle as the lock is round the exhaust, which can be removed in about 30 seconds by removing 1 bolt. Put the chain through the wheel otherwise it will get nicked.

Dave

That picture was taken whilst it was at the previous owners house, I always put my chain through the wheel :)

I do like your bike though - think I might have seen it on Scooter Shack?

Not the best photo but you get the idea.

My 2002 Yamaha FZS 600 Fazer, with new Custom Chrome Racing exhaust, which is the best sounding can I have ever heard on a 600

Just had my Seat Modded :D

Had an extra half inch of foam put in to help my lanky legs :p
The flash had made the colours look bland in the pics, but to the eye it looks really good

Who did the seat? I'll be wanting to get mine retrimmed some time this year, I'm thinking probably LICS will do it but I'm looking for recommendations.

Already posted a seperate post, but as this is still ongoing :D

I know it's not to everyones taste, but I love it, been out riding it nearly every day over the last week to get used to it and wear in the equipment, now I can't wait until the weather gets better!

Here's my new baby.
