How did you find the 749 was?.

I'm looking at either spending a shedload of cash on a Beemer HP2 Sport or a Duke 1098, but the wife ain't happy ( as usual ) about it, so I was thinking of going down the route of a 2004 onwards RSVR Aprilia or a 999 as the prices appear to be very good just now on the used market.

kermit of 400gb perhaps I know that VFR anywere !!!!!

Draeger
As for the 749 i found it a great handling bike and it had loads of drive, it had to be driven at silly speeds tho in order to get any feeling feedback from it tho and was pretty dull unless being driven hard. It does look great tho, a few things i noticed, you leg gets roasted by the pipe work as its very close to your leg (it melted my boots on that side). the brake pads are exp to replace as its a pad per piston version 4 per caliper or £42 for oem ones last it i checked ( I loved them so much tho i got them for my VFR)

It doenst like city work, if you get one make sure it has a service history !!!! and then do an oil change and if you can afford get belts changed too esp if its been sitting up for a while.

It was a good bike and i miss it

You have to get 54mm pipework for it tho Sounds lush!!!! its too silent at stock. nice bark from intake tho

What the hell is the thread doing all the way back here!

I'll bump it up with this:

The start of 2 nice Suzuki RG125's. The one on the right runs, I used it last summer, but it needs a bit of TLC before I'll take it out again. I just got the other one, not even had a chance to see if it'll run yet! I've got no paper work for it yet either :(

Brum!

Gave my bike a good clean last weekend, although stopped short of getting the metal polish and wax out. Would have been a waste anyway as after this weeks rubbish weather it needs another wash! Thats the downside to riding everyday, 80% of the time your bike looks a right state. Here's a couple of piccies i took at the time with my mobile.

Sounds like you have spent a lot on you bike. Will be worth it though! Bet it sounds great with the akrapovic cans on it.

I have been riding through the winter on my CBR and nearly went through a rear tyre and the chicken strip is huge! Its just not been the weather to get low down :(

Prolly not worth it :), but the bike is a real animal over stock.. front comes up 2nd gear just with gentle throttle, and 3rd with a tug

You'll eat a tyre easy in summer, I just got 2000 miles out of mine in winter, guessing thats gonna drop to about 1500 come warm weather

Hey Fireskull, how would you rate that Quill? Sort of thinking of sticking on on the end of my full system to replace the scraped can...

Do it you wont be disappointed :D All Titanium so weights bugger all, haven't had it put back on the Dyno yet but I know it will be an increase as Its a noticeable difference, If you know the sound of the Yoshi Tri ovals (standard sized ones, so bit longer than mine), think of that sound only louder with baffle out :D love it, surprised I have not been Banned from Winchester yet it sounds amazing bouncing off the buildings lol :p

Got Titanium Downpipes to put on soon so they will unleash some more HP :p

Yeah, it was the weight that impressed me- I love that they've made the exit pipe so thin that it's actually painfully sharp on some of the new ones :D But they're lovely to look at too. Cheers!
