Post your bikes thread

o noes, he's not been getting his knee down at every corner!!!

Honestly I think he's jealous, I ran up the M1 to show her off to few mates in Brum and turned round and went back, (St Albans btw).. that and picking the bike up from the showroom was all I had done

Theres a reason i do not post here very often, honestly I'm too old or something

I'm not understanding what the significance of chicken strips are. Whats the big deal?
To go round corners on a motorcycle you have to lean, as I'm sure you are aware. The tyre show a wear pattern so you can see parts of the tyre that have not been onto, you can see how far someone leans round corners by looking at the tyre.

The chicken strips on that (raher nice looking!) Blade are nothing, check mine out (new tyres <15 miles ;) ) :p :p

Chicken strips can also depend on the tyre profile and weight of the bike. One some tyres the edge profile is so flat you'd actually ride off the edge of the tyre to scuff them.

My CBR is easy to scrub right to the edge, my TL1000S is almost impossible (with a 180 rear instead of the standard 190)

I've scraped the cylinder heads on my BMW and the front has over 1cm unscrubbed, must be the telelever....

I couldn't care less how wide the tyre is scrubbed- it's how you ride the bike bike that matters, not what the bits look like afterwards.

I have an inch or so of strips on the front, but in my defense have only been riding 3 months and am a coward in corners :)

Unscrathed sliders...hmmm...I deliberately got leathers without sliders as I didnt want to walk around with unscratched ones, and I am dubious if I will ever get my knee down tbh, just not a priority.....I am happy at any speed in a straight line, but corners scare me atm so I take them easy :)
