Yep don't know why people stick motorcycle race cans on scooters look well daft & sound carp IMHO.

That scorp isn't a race can as its got a baffle in and its designed for a scooter as the inlet is too small to get it onto a motorbike. I used to have one which I bought as it was lighter than the stock exhaust and also it was stanless steel so didn't rust like the standard mild steel one.

Photo of my old runner (aka the jogger) with a Zorstec Exhaust on.

That photo above makes me chuckle as the lock is round the exhaust, which can be removed in about 30 seconds by removing 1 bolt. Put the chain through the wheel otherwise it will get nicked.

Thats a lovely scoot, but still think those exhausts dont suit scooters.

As most scooters are 2 strokes, they shouldn't have those cans in the first place, all you're doing is decreasing backpressure and dropping 5-10mph off the top speed.

But I'd rather have that than sound like I've got a bumble bee in a tin can in my boot.

Seeing all the shiny bikes makes me want to polish and clean my bike (for the first time since i got it 9 months ago.)

True, but im sure both scooters posted are 4 stroke ( I hope :p )

All scooters over 50cc are 4 strokes these days. If you put one of those type of exhausts (ie minus the expansion chamber) on a 2 stroke the bike would barely move!

Very nice first bike Vasquez. I had a Honda XR125 which was a similar style but yours has much better road tyres than mine had! I think the MZ is also much closer to the 14.6bhp limit than mine was (only about 11bhp). Not much different, but every little counts ;) . The riding position means U-turns are a doddle and being high up means you can see over traffic a lot better than some other 125's.

Very nice! wouldnt mind doing a track day myself....couldnt risk my CBR though :D

You wouldn't regret it that's for sure.

It's only risky if you choose to ride that way and there's usually loads of instructors about to help you ride better/quicker.

See you at Donnington in the summer then. ;)

My Honda XR125L, you'll have to excuse the rust, her previous owner had let her sit in his garage for 2 years without any TLC. Speaking of which, has anyone got any tips on rust removal/protection, and cleaning products?

I will take you up on that, should get in touch nearer the summer, will get myself down there!
