I like a laugh and be it modern or classic comedy, there are so many people who make me laugh.

I personally lean to the more classic side and I thought a thread where we can post clips of our favorite comedians and shows might raise a smile or two.

Can I kick of with a couple of true comedy legends, sadly no longer with us. I remember these two as a kid and they made me laugh then and still do today ...... 2 of the absolute masters of comedy.

Les Dawson 1931-1993.

Tommy Cooper 1921-1984

Richard Pryor 1940 - 2005.

Can't safely link to anything he did ( Swearies ).

If you saw him last night , BBC2, then you know what i mean.

My current favourites are probably...

Harry Hill
Bill Bailey,
Eddie Izzard
Peter Kay.

Used to like Billy Connolly, but those books (admittedly written by his wife) have done him no good.

Old School

John Cleese - monty python, fawlty towers
Ronnie Barker - porridge etc

Newbies

Peter Kay
Ricky Gervais (Not Live)
Harry Hill

Les Dawson

Always found his piano playing with the wrong notes hilarious :D
Personal favourites for me looking at stand up and tv shows respectively, would have to be Robin Williams and Eddie Murphy for stand up and John Cleese and Leonard Rossiter. The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin is genius.

I didn't get where i am today by...... :D :D

John McBlain, for showing Northern Irelands politicians for what they are. His material is legendary.
