post your Conroe temps!

Only just recv'd my new system upgrade, running with a Scythe Ninja.

These temps are at idle, bit weird that there is such a difference between the cores.

Otherwise, are these ok?

Just oc'd some more, 400 x 7 with 1.425 volts again.

This is after reseating the HSF as i thought that it may have come loose, will have to try orthos to see what happens :D

E4300
333.3 fsb 3ghz
V core 1.375 +1v
Mem 2.1v
NB 1.4v
CPU 38C in Bios

40C idle with coretemp

and a massive 82C during Orthos!!!

Room temp 25C next to PC
What stepping you got mate?

For the rig in the sig (rhyme =D), I get 41 degrees idle and just under 60 per core under heavy load using a Thermalright Ultra-120 with a 120mm fan :)

It's great and all people posting how cool their CPU is, but due to different chip batches producing different levels of overclocking; basing a temp on a clock is pointless.

Please note your vcore and whether you are using the +0.1v offset

Everything seems fine at the moment, might try and tighten the timings on my RAM before going higher, running at 5-5-5-18 atm.

Still running 1.425V, with +0.1v on the RAM and Chipset i believe.

just installed and run becnhies on my 6300. everything at stock, idle is 35c in TAT and 49c while running orthos and rthdribl (was testing the gpu at the same time)

i tihnk i may have used too much AS5 and the IHS isnt fat as i can see light coming through whne i put a straight edge on top of it. going to try clocking it a bit and then lap it.

Kaiju, is this the stepping BX80557E4300SL9TB?

Thats what is on the side of the box...

Anyone think my temps are a little high at 82 degrees??

Cheers
The stepping is on the chip and on the side of the retail box. It starts with a Q mate i.e. Q644A367.

QXXY367. The XX is the week and the Y is the batch, A or B.

As for temps:

Tcase/Tjunction

--70--/--85--85-- Shutdown
--65--/--80--80-- Throttle
--60--/--75--75-- Hot
--55--/--70--70-- Warm
--50--/--65--65-- N
--45--/--60--60-- O
--40--/--55--55-- R
--35--/--50--50-- M
--30--/--45--45-- A
--25--/--40--40-- L

82C is hot, but anything over 85C is a no go. In any case i'd back down your voltages or get a better cooler if you are going to run at those speeds.

Mid 70's is the max i'd hit though as you don't know how hot your room temps will be, especially with Summer coming along.

Load( 1 h orthos blend) 45ºC
room temp 18 C
Antec case closed &Tuniq Tower 120 fan at max rpm
Xeon 3050 overclocked at 3400 mhz with Vcore 1.41V

update:
Xeon 3050 overclocked at 3600 mhz( 450x8) with Vcore 1.52V
1 h orthos blend - cpu temp 46/48ºC

note: with the other coolers I can´t do that test ( cpu at 3600mhz at 1.52V),because the cpu temps reach 80ºc in a few seconds.

E6300 currently running at 2.94 @ 1.408v (according to CPU-Z, actualy set to 1.456 in bios) both cores hitting 65c under full orthos load with a 9700 zalman on full speed. still trying to get more out of it

Kaiju...One more thing my E4300 doesn't throttle at 80 degrees as I've monitored it in CPUZ and the speed did'nt alter at all..

Do you know why this is? Perhaps Coretemp is wrong?

Cheers
