I saw a black Golf MK6 GTD yesterday on the M4 with the licence plate "1 LM". I just checked it out on the DVLA's site and it's legit.

I shudder to think what he paid for that!

Wiki says "The original Excel (aka the Eclat Excel)", which would explain it.

I also didn't realise that they'd partnered with Toyota for these. No wonder the ol' Celica Supra/2800/XX looked so similar :eek:

And I guess that explains why Richard Hammond's 007 underwater Excel had Toyota wheels, too. Well, well.
