Anyone notice, on the One show (on BBC1) last night the old fella who met up with his old girlfriend of 65 years ago was driving round in a mint, white 1984 Vauxhall Cavalier SRi.

I've not seen a cavalier on the road for about 10-15 years!!

Nice spot. Bet it sounded fantastic especially on the first start this morning. Never seen it before and we're not far from the FedEx.

I live in Silverdale and work in Tunstall, I've seen it a few times around town, have you ever clocked the local Red Ford Gran Torino? (a-la Starsky & Hutch complete with white stripe) I've followed it through the Chesterton Maccy's drive through a few times but never got the chance to speak to the owner who seems surprisingly young from apperance.

    WTF is that!

All is forgiven Japan, bring back scientific whaling as that deserves to be harpooned, for scientific reasons off course.

/I know that they currently hunt for science and are now pursuing whales beyond scientific research

At the services on the way to York. Not so keen on the colour if I’m honest. Crap parking as well.

Love the car, shame he can't park.

To be fair those bays are small and that would fill a bay and overlap, meaning any car parking next to it would no doubt smash there door into it, so you can hardly blame the guy.

If parking bays were bigger or people had a lot more respect for other peoples property than people with nice cars or wider cars would not feel the need to park defensively.

I personally always go and look for a nice space as generally there is always an edge or end space or just park very far away across two. :)

I have to admit I am still not keen on new shape, much prefer my classic Vantage from both front and rear.

Shame others have no care for the cars next to them.

    Lovely DBS!

Tbh, I'd park a £200K+ car like that too.

Why? Is there something wrong with either your eyes or brain?

Plenty of spaces = freedom to take up 2, IMO*. Parked decently far away, too. Though even if you do park with nobody in sight there'll almost always be someone parked right next to you when you come back.

*Wouldn't ever do it myself in fear of retribution.
