Are those even the standard colour wheels? Other pictures of original cars show black with a chrome edging, which looks a lot nicer.

Don't see the problem? Makes the car look less auspicious and may be enough to fool some wannabe car theifs.

I'm also a big fan of making a car a sleeper, this is an easy way to do that to some degree. Especially in the days of S Line M pack AMG line St VXR's.

I badged my old Rover 420 GSi Turbo up as a 418 diesel for the lolz. 250bhp, 1200ish kgs... many lolz were had.
