All the ones you see mums driving these days.....Quashqiiaui, Juke, etc

So what's the difference between a Discovery and a Discovery Sport?

Sport = Tranverse engine (4cylinder) - 4.6m long car and 5+2 seating
Discovery = Longitundinal 6 cylinders 5.0m long car 7 seats and more off road capable and wonky numberplate.

So how is the sport more geared towards sports than the larger vehicle with better off-road capabilities and transport capacity that's more likely to get you and your sporty gear and friends to your chosen sporty location? Sport.

I was thinking exactly that tbh, but didn't want to drag it out more.

Just a load of PR rubbish by the sounds of it. As I said, it looks cool because it has a 'sport' badge on the back.

hmmm

Does it in a sporty manner as it hasn’t go air suspension :p Plus it’s an SUV the bigger car is more of a 4x4. Same with the Range Rover and Sport - one is “edgier”

Big discovery can take a bigger horse and that’s cheating sport :D and harder to park at the gym in the carpark so you can’t get out with your protein shake - obvs

It’s marketing not PR. sport sells.

He doesn't like the word Sport on a Sports Utility Vehicle, seems to be where we're at.

Manufacturers should stop using the word Sport in their SUV range because SUVs became popular with mums?

I don't know, it's a bit confusing.

I can see the argument against having 'Sport' on there, as you don't need an SUV to do a sporty lifestyle. I mean christ, we get two sets of golf clubs and trolleys in a Vauxhall Adam. Didn't need to buy an X5 for that :p

Back on track, however... I'd love to have a go in that black Cobra.
