But why would they have US plated cars in the UK? How did they get here? Are they ever going to go back? What is the purpose? Why not just get cars from this country if they are going to be here? I don't understand. :p
Military planes

Don't forget about that poor lad wiped out by the wife of an American diplomat on the wrong side of the road...

Have you tried buying a Chevrolet Traverse here?

Was it unfair of me to have assumed that as a preferential car?

I mean... Why can't they just have something that is available here, as opposed to delivering a specific model of vehicle by air all the way from the USA? Its just madness.

But hey, muricuh I guess.

Shipping a car over is probably cheaper than (and less hassle for sure) than getting one here, especially if you know you'll be returning after a year or two.

US-market Chevrolet Traverse in Northampton on Georgia plates. Likely come off one of the bases further north/east. In year gone by you'd see a lot more US cars, when the bases were busier.

My bet is its probably from Croughton. I regularly see an Infiniti G37, on Alahambhama (I think) plates headed that way on my commute.

There's occasionally a Crown Vic interceptor by the main gates too

Some really nice parking this morning a few streets away. Obviously been there all night as the windscreen has dew on it. Hopefully no ambulances etc needed to get through.

Don’t know if they were trying to box in the van, utterly retarded move even if so.

I'd put money on it having rolled there from the space behind it and bounced off that Merc van. Handbrake probably failed (it is a Corsa after all...) or they never put it on. No other possibilities even begin to make sense.

Also, not that its the point, but an ambulance could easily get through there... As could a bus. :p

As per the pic, the space behind it is occupied by another Corsa.

I’m sure a bus could get through, kinda missing the point though. It’s illegal, dangerous and above all, stupid.

I did say I know its not the point. ;)

What about the space next to the other Corsa? Front wheels of the blue car could have been at an angle when it was parked.

You did, I’ll let you off :)

still could have rolled out last night, and someone parked there just before you got there :)

Possibly but unlikely. Dew on all car windscreens, and that was me coming back from getting a McDonald’s breakfast, all cars were present 30 mins prior as I left!

Weird... I guess they could have been trying to block the van in for either practical or malicious reasons, and didn't have the brains to park lengthwise.

Yeah. We’ve seen it before around here. Parking is so bad. Fortunately we have a drive and garage but it’s amazing what some people think is a good idea in terms of parking.

Same road, same location, similar situation with a Peugeot 207 GTi. That time didn’t annoy me, as it was a Peugeot so something probably broke and it rolled (ex pug owner!)

This time it looked deliberate.
