Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

What gets your heart rate up @Diddums? Car wise I mean! Genuine question.

My son was in London car spotting this week, and saw his first Zonda after spending some time at Joe Macari, so he had a great day and saw some serious exotics.

He did his work experience last year at a car wrapping company, and the owner of the company said the same sort of thing you did. Supercars have become uninteresting to him, as he sees so many.

I, personally, don't feel that way (no matter how many of them I see, and how many shows I go to). I love the sight and sound of a supercar, and enjoy the pics members post on here.

Not Kensington I’m afraid but this was lovely.

Technically not my encounter as my son sent me the pictures from town when walking the dogs :D

I used to live and work in Mayfair so had the same problem, previously exotic marques wouldn't even register, sure a decent hyper car would still well and truly stop me in my steps but I found myself being way more interested in the Pimlico Plumbing vans and their latest and greatest number-plates.

I guess that's quite a tricky question but I'd say anything with charm, character, pedigree, or something that's clearly loved and not just someone's monthly payment plan. Speed does nothing for me anymore, I'd much rather be driving through the countryside in a Morgan Three Wheeler than a (current) Lambo or Ferrari.

The fact is that behind some of the older stuff was people with passion which makes all the difference. Ferrucio Lamborghini, Enzo Ferrari, these guys put their heart and souls in to their cars when they were alive and their brands are now seemingly little more than white goods pumped out by a marketing machine. Don't get me wrong, they're phenomenal cars in terms of performance and tech, but there's no soul or character. You could swap the badges over and they'd just be another ridiculously fast supercar.

Bit long winded but you get it.

That and I'm just getting old.

Yes! This man gets it. They really do have some fantastic plates, and the fact that one mirror is red and one is blue, to echo the hot and cold taps, is just *chef's kiss*

Not my bag at all. The UI in it is apparently awful and it's about as practical as a hooker's handbag. I get that Ferrari were leaving insane amounts of money on the table by not catering to the SUV obsession but I'm not convinced they hit the nail on the head.

That being said, at least it's completely it's own thing, unlike a Urus which is an overpriced Audi.

Sounds epic too, I'll give it that.

Yeah in that colur6and spec it's a bit Eww. I've seen a classy forest green one on better wheels and it's a way more desirable car. It's pure excess. Like 300k plus.

Agreed the lambo reskinned audis don't compare.

I don't live in Kensington...but we get a few supercars around here too. The things which seem to get most attention now are the classics. Not even really expensive ones.

In the old days super cars were very rare and they looked unique.

Saw one of the Aston SUVs recently and from the front it just looks like a fat fiesta.

Had a nosy round a few at a Fez dealer last week. Looks quite nice IRL. Sounds ridiculous as well, as you'd expect.
