Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

Had an S5 at work the other week. Boss was thinking of getting one. They look fantastic and are instanly quick.

An RS5 will be on a different level.

Yet to see one in the flesh though. Did'nt think they were out.

I doubt someone would go to the levels of getting an A5 and putting the RS sticker on it would they, really?

Should have got a photo now for some evidence of what I saw.

It would have been an S5 and someone has stuck an RS5 sticker on it.

Its pointless really, as the S5 is a great car in its own right.

Audi only produce one RS car at a time iirc or they used to. With the RS4 finished, the next car is the RS6 afaik when the new A6 arrives. Not sure if its this year or next though.

Mate, clearlyz u dont understand, that there mazda is the most JDM tyte fwastest out of them all!

Yea, its not asif the wheels retail at around £2k on there own, id say that mazda was worth more like 50p am i right dawg?

It didnt look that bad in person, honest! :p

2k for some wheels? ... Is this a special mazda? or just the bog standard roadster?

Looking around it just looks like the release date for the RS5 is "early 2008"

Very strange indeed, didnt look quite like the other A5's i have seen.

Yea, I just had a quick search. Looks like the RS5 is due early 2008.

The RS6 much be next year.

I wonder if Audi will ever go insane and try to create an RS8! Phwoah!

Uhm, really cant be sure now then, just doubted it was a fake badge, ive rememberd the car had a number 11 in the corner of the rear window.

Woke up at a stupidly early time yesterday because of a hangover, thought I would head to the country club, found a parking spot convenient enough to make this group of 3:

Not an uncommon thing but all three are 2004 530D's, mine on the far left there :) The other two are owned by two brothers (both almost twice my age right enough :p )

the one on the right is the earlier model though with the downturned exhaust..
is there a difference between the engines?

No difference in the engines agaik but yes you are indeed right, I don't know if it's an earlier model entirely though, his doesn't have the particulate filter installed. i.e. when he boots it in his car, soot gets chucked everywhere, that's why his pipes point down the way - keeps it out of the way. Mine and the other blue car have straight-out pipes because the filter is installed, so the exhaust smoke is clean :) It just flushes itself out every few weeks by kicking out a lot of smoke (still clean) for a short period of time.
In fact the way it does this is quite remarkable, the car knows when the filter's burning off so it will keep the gears in high revs (kinda like being in really aggressive sports mode) to keep the exhaust warm until the filter has completely cleared itself. Also quite easy to notice when this is happening because for 5 minutes it sounds like I'm driving with a blown exhaust :p
