Your brother's should be good when he sorts the idle etc. ...although the Subaruesque noise is brilliant.
A lot of the chaps in the FGOC have done extensive work on them, including alloys, media setups, stiffer suspension, air induction and the obligatory swapping of trim bits for more chromey ones!
My old man has a galaxy and sometimes frequents their forums, though he hasn't done much at all to his since it's value has dropped like a stone. Just doesn't seem worth investing in. In fact, it must have cost almost it's current value in repairs since bought. Fords eh.

In reference to the recent 'Gibbo' sightings, saw G1 BBO on a Type R in Doncaster this evening. Sorry for lack of photo, you'll just have to believe me. Gets about a bit, doesn't he!
I'm sure I either saw one that spelt Gibbo in either Edinburgh or Aberdeen.

If you three are referring to a past member of these forums, he does not have a plate that resembles his nickname. It costs a few thousand and he said the other day in the pub that he'd not buy it due to the cost, although if he did want to get a personal plate he'd get one along the lines of his nickname.
His car has a private plate on that the previous owner put on, but it's relevant to the car, rather than himself so he sees no point in removing it.
Edit: And he doesn't on a CTR or campervan thing.
Saw a few nice things Friday, no pics though

A red 599 (Mr Spie?)
Some sort of TVR (sorry, not really up to scratch on TVRs but looked like a Sagaris to me)
And then a yellow Mustang GT (the newish one) - was some middle aged woman driving it didn't really get a proper look at it as I was turning at the lights
