Quite possible it was a Daihatsu Copen.

Same look as a Figaro but much newer

Fiagro was built in 1991 just made to have a 50's retro look.

Yeah I see quite a few these too and they look very tidy, almost perfect, some of them are. So I reckon there may be some recent ones?

No, there's a couple of companies that specialise in completely restoring them. Based on the old square Micras with a 3cyl 1.0 turbo engine.

It was definitely a Figaro, leastways that's what the badge on the front said.

Only 8,000 were originally available with an additional 12,000 added to production numbers to meet demand. Prospective purchasers had to enter a lottery to be able to buy one of these cars.

And yes, it's based on a Micra's innards.

Just seen a Mustang GT as well. Proper hefty front end - beautiful. Pic is rubbish...

Dont like that at all, i know the picture doesnt do it justice but for gods sake the Pugeot behind sits lower in its wheel arches? And to top it off those red stripes are shocking, just my opinion but there are very few yank tanks i like and that aint one :)

No idea what they were doing but certainly attracted a lot of attention when the lights were flashing :o

Thanks mr obvious! As if i didnt know that much. I meant what reason for seizing as there was normal police, traffic officers and community service standing around it.

(no wonder only 1 in 10 cops are available to tackle crime )

Maybe. Definately did the job if so. Hence the crapper than usual picture as i was rushing whilst no one was walking in front of me. People in leeds city centre are so ignorant :(

you guys sure its not the latest local traffic cop car that they are showing off? and just happen to have a clever number plate for use or show only?

just wondering why the blue lights are attached to it?

It's clearly for publicity, to promote themselves.

What else could it be for
