Post Your Daily Encounter Pics Here

Went to Morecambe Bay today and saw some nice cars in the Midland Hotel car park:

Look what I parked next to. One of those cars has a list price of about half the current value of my house. The other one is my Porsche Cayman. Ahem.

Another Porsche. I had to take the pic from miles away and zoom in, so it's not clear this is a Carrera 4 S.

Another unclear pic (phone - rubbish), this time of a BMW 740i.

Some old Daimler.

On the journey there I also saw:

A convertible Maserati of some kind - I didn't get a good look at it as it went by quite fast!
A Lotus Elise
A couple of the new green Focus RS and a nice brash orange ST
A Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI
A Robin Reliant.

First post in here, sorry if it doesn't conform to your usual standards :o

Not too clued up on cars, but I keep seeing this one car parked on my way home from work. No idea if you class it as a good car or not, but the plate on it sure stands out.

See interestingly what is at first a car which is completely not suitable for this thread - I mean.. so what? It's just a 10 year old 7 Series - is actually quite bizarre. The square numberplate indicats its an import probably from the USA. Bizarre.

Heh, I actually didn't know if it was at all interesting, but I know the 7 series was in a Bond film and that BMWs are popular round here, so I thought it was worth a punt!

I actually wondered about the plate, but didn't know whether it meant anything in particular.

Isn't that a Jag?

Not if the back was to be believed! It's the UK Daimler btw, not the German one.

Looking at good old Wikipedia, it appears to be a V8-250, and - you win the prizes - was "essentially, apart from a fluted grille, badges and drivetrain, a more luxurious Jaguar Mark II" though it did still have a Daimler engine.

Yeah I noticed that after posting, I cant multi task. Was trying to identify the Alfa I saw on google images and after typing Alfa lots it just came out :o

The wonderful Google Image has just shown me that it was an Alfa Romeo Montreal sitting with the Countach.

This is what they ended up as in their day, Group 5 racers!

Somebodies been to Ford Fair then!

Was tempted to go myself, interested in the Mountune Stage 3 upgrade for the Fiesta ST which was announced there (for me its either Mountune or throttle bodies, don't want a supercharger to chew my gearbox every 5 minutes!), apart from seeing some the mental cosworths and so on...!

Had a Maserati grandturismo behind me, it then turned off and had this beauty for the rest of my journey home.

Any idea how much a Pontiac GTO is worth?

Thought that was going to be a photo of a Passat then.

No. I was driving at the time. After giving my Dad instructions for 5 minutes ion how to unlock my phone, it would have been a bit much to tell him how to get a good photo... The GTO must have saw the picture being taken as he gave a good rev after. Sounded good.

Forgot to put in my last post, but does anyone know much about the McLaren MP4-12c prototypes? Saw one stuck in the usual Saturday afternoon traffic in Norwich a couple of weeks back. Looked good in white, XP8 on the side with B&Q style pipework out of the engine cover.
