Honda racing civic type r at work today, the full monty, 280bhp engine, stupid size brakes, full racing livery stickers, roll cage, single recaro seat, etc etc.
was out in the yard so no pic, as I dont want to get a bollocking.

I haven't seen any M-Sports yet. Saw loads of F10s on the M4 & M25 today though, including my first F10 Touring.
Also saw a nice Ferrari 308 parked up, but the lights went green by the time I'd unlocked my iPhone

Right, time for a large post. I've been doing my motorsport engineering course at castle combe for the last two weeks now and during breaks, we get to go out and walk around the paddock and these are some of the things I've seen:
Scirocco R (first time I've seen one)
Skyline with a gigantic silencer that we all lolled at
Various TVR's
E55 AMG estate
Some MR2 on a test day with huuuuge brakes
A lovely old jag but no idea what model
A bora running on LPG. The thing went like proverbial poo off a spade and was the loudest thing on track when it backfired
And now for some pics I probably shouldn't have taken, the honda synchro team turned up with a race kitted civic (which may be the one stulid mentioned):
And then they got out something far more ridiculous and a bit odd
Can you tell what it is yet?
That's right, the honda team have a JAZZ they're planning to race at some point that has a tuned K20a in it just like the civic.
(apologies about the finger, was doing it on the sly).
That's probably going to be all I'm going to post this year as things are winding down for winter at the circuit but come next year, I'm sure there'll be more things to post

Only because Combe's noise limits are ridiculously low

stupid villagers complaining after moving next to a race track. What did they expect?! It's been there since 1950!Yeah they seem to be a bit relaxed in the way they measure noise. The rules are that noise is measured at 3/4 throttle 0.5m away from the end of the exhaust but sometimes I've seen the guy put it right next to the exhaust and others much further away.

Well it was an airfield in the war, so has been known as somewhere noisy since 1941 IIRC. Stupid NIMBYs :rolleyes.I know

Lets just say that a Class 1 calibrated meter used in the paddock by some competitors/trackdayers confirmed suspicions about Combe's meter.....
Shame really as 100dB makes it a no go for the guys with BECs.
