Been scanning in some pics of my Dad when he did some amateur racing years ago.

Slightly older than most of the pics in this thread but here is my Dad racing a modified/lightened E-Type at Thruxton in 1975:


Silverstone, Woodcote corner, 1972. Maserati 250F on the left, my Dad on the right in a Lister-Jaguar (Lister chassis, Jaguar engine):



Have some more pics of him racing, but those are probably the best, may create a thread later....not sure if I should put it in motors or motorsport forum.

What's is dads name, love to see more of these? Silverstone was ace back then, proper corner that....though that looks like the old Club circuit loop they are using which was common for vintage events in the 70's.

Not overly keen on matt finish painted cars but that C63 is automotive sex on a stick.

The pink BMW however, is most definitely not.

new owner doesnt appear to have collected it yet (as it looks to have been taken in a MB dealership) so its not coming up on askmid.

Looks more like its been taken at a Audi dealership...in fact a lot like Leicester Audi.

Yes, here it is at a rolling road last year.

I am yet to have a passenger ride in it but I've driven side by side with it and it is as you say, nuts.

Depends how big your balls are?

He already tells me that it can scare him when driving. On santa pod, he nearly lost control due to wheel spin in 3rd gear as its impossible to put full power down at the moment.

Don't start bring up this argument again. "Why have a £1 million ferrari if all its going to do is sit inside a garage all day long..." or how about "why buy an m3 when a 330i is the 90% the same".
