Hope you enjoy your new home mate.
I lived in 'boro as a student for 2 years. When my lad was born, the fact that i absolutely hated Middlesborough was one of the key deciding factors in me leaving uni and going to work.
It was my second choice uni, and i'd done the research on the uni at the open day etc.. and the town centre looked like any other. But appearances can be deceptive ....
