Lightning XM172 is owned by Neil Airey and it lives in his garden in cumbria part of his Lakes Lightnings collection. It was as Housey mentioned loaned to Clarkson for filming but was never a fixed feature at his house it was all made up for his film.

Are toyota aiming to resurrect the former glory of the supra?

I think so, but better. Just imagine this twin turbo'd and beefed up like the old days, would be fantastic.

lol

what?

It's nothing to do with the supra,

The name kinda gives it away

The Toyota AE86, A favourite with drifters for years.

The wheels on the GT86 are pretty nasty! nothing a nice set of after market wheels with a bit of a dish wouldn't sort out. :)

Saw this earlier this evening. It was outside a Ladbrokes and judging by the number plate which looks it's trying to be '27 Red', it might belong to someone who's a gambler or perhaps a managing director of Ladbrokes.

Shame I couldn't get a pic, but saw someone driving a Rolls Royce Phantom Coupe with the number plate '4G' - can't have been a cheap plate! Although not surprising considering the car.

Are they your own recent pics from Monte Carlo (Guess so!)
I've heard it;s easy to get the train in from Nice and have a wander around? Fun to do? Or just not as James Bond awesome as it's built up to be? But in your photos with the familys and prams milling around it looks good?

Yes, we were there day before yesterday and earlier last week so my pics :)

It's easy to get the train, takes about 20mins and is 6 Euro return. We had a nice day there being tourists; did the tourist bus tour, took lunch in Casino Square etc. It's not James Bond awesome but somewhere you should go if you can just to see it. It's actually a very crowded town only 2km square with lots of high rise apartments etc built in so feels quite claustrophobic being there. Traffic is a nightmare too, don't even think of driving there.

It makes you realise the sheer amount of wealth some people have in the world when you are there though. For a sandwich, orangina and ice cream sundae it was 42 Euro in the Café de Paris in Casino Square!!

Fantastic, awesome, thank you! Please say it's an op
en top bus tour that does a lap of the GP track? I've never heard of this bus so will hit google now!

Were planning a day visiting by train, then on the way north (in rental car) would swing into the town to drive the hairpin etc, might not bother if it;s bumper to bumper as you say, can scope it out when we visit on train first :)
