Whichever style of music you play, post a pic of your decks/mixer and any other equipment you want.

Also feel free to post any info about how your DJing is going, and what records, equipment you are thinking of buying in the future.

I would start this thread with my gear, but it's non-existant atm! hence I'm scouting around seeing what deals/equipment is the best suited to me.

I'll be playing DnB after being a listener for many years, any DnB DJs here?

nothing special i know but i enjoy it and isnt that what its all about? :) hoping to get a graphic equaliser at some point and another deck

im into trance and would really like to get good enough to do it professionally, getting paid to stay up one friday night with free drinks and a great crowd, some banging tunes - what could be better?!

Had a pair of Vestax pdx2000s and a 1210mk3

currently sold the vestax, got a denon dn-s3000 cd deck and shall be getting a second sometime in the future when i get money

* 1 Pair of Gale Gold monitors
* 1 Pair of Pioneer Monitors
* Awia active Sub
* Technics MD recorder

Also to be connected up to HTPC :D

Mines a tired, old but tested system.

2 x Gemini 1000s
Behringer DJX700 mixer
Pioneer amp
2 x Acoustic monitors
2 x Mission monitors
Acer Travelmate Laptop - various software, just testing this out

Like playing tech house / prog / breaks but spend most of the time playing old jazz records and 2nd hand shop stuff on there. Dig out the old hard house and trance now and again for a laf.

500-700 vinyls.

NAD C320 BEE amp
Gemini PS-540i Mixer
Citronic PD1 Turntable x1
Hercules DJ console
 
Pretty basic equipment, just do it as a hobby. Have about 70 vinyl consisting mainly of funky house and breakbeat.

2x Stanton STR8-30 Decks
Numark dm1050 Mixer
Numark PHX Headphones

All connected to my old creative sub + speakers :D

OOH, nice Stanton's man, is that mixer up to much, I know its one of the lower-end of the range, but it's a decent one and one I'm concidering.

Is that also some kinda of 'Stanton' surface the decks are on?
 
Yeah i'm very happy with the mixer, there's nothing fancy on there, just bog standard stuff but thats all i really use it for so no complaints here.

Nope no Stanton surface, just a table that my mate built for me with the free stanton stickers that the decks came with slapped on it :p

I don't really play much, I bought them for my other half's birthday. If I do muck about on them, it tends to be French house. She's into trance though, we've got about 70 records between us.

Looking to change the mixer to a Pioneer DJM400, also going to get some decent speakers as my Creative ones cannot handle the bass :D

Got about 1500 vinyl; Mostly Prog House, Deep House, Tech-House and Breaks.

Don't use it nowhere near enough nowadays. Haven't brought a record in nearly 18 months. Just use legit download sites nowadays.

Am toying with buying one atm.
 
@ Nursie, those are the exact decks I'm thinking of getting, do you have, or could you take some real-life pics of them, showing the carts as well, if possible please? :cool:

They look like damn fine decks, and this might just clinch it for me to buy them :P

I advise you to save up your money and buy a second hand pair of 1210s, if in future u sell them u will get your money back almost in full. they dont lose value at all tbh.

Behringer also make some pretty good low end mixers, and also Ebay is good for buying stuff cheap too.
