Post your DJ setups!

Sorry but for me beer + playing doesnt work at all!

I only need to sniff a beer and my mixing goes out the window, it
sounds ace at the time but listening back its shocking.

My worst attempt was at a car show i was working at. Had travelled 400 miles
done a days work the got the stella out.

Decided it would be fun to hook up the decks to a transmitter and play to a few hundred peeps who were demo'ing their ICE.

The result was MESSY :(

i just get the general impression of "cds are for cheaters vinyl is the best anyone who uses cds should shot"

am i right?

Far from it.

This arguement is rinsed quite frankly, I'm quite sure everyone knows the ins and outs and finer details, but there are those within the scene I am a part of that feel quite ok to play out sets with pre-pitched CDs. Which is wrong.

I use CDJ's often when I'm playing out, because at £40 a side, I can't afford to cut Dubs of every tune I'm sent. Given the choice I'd prefer to do that, but its not economically viable for me.

Pre-pitched is a different thing altogether, that is cheating imo.

Beatmatching is something that a dj should be able to do instinctively and with ease, but that doesn't mean you can just surpass it altogether.
