I dont know anyone that pre-pitches their music, except for Andy Shitby.

i dont see why people do it, if you're good then beatmatching 2 tunes only takes a few seconds, by all means write the bpm on the cd but pre-pitching just takes time and is there really any point?

It's actually very quick and easy to make mp3s a single bpm.

As for the point? So that they don't trainwreck and thus can drink more/get more wasted.

As for the trainwrecks, I guess I give Tiesto that one thing, he certainly doesn't pre-pitch his stuff, hehehe :D

At least the converstion has become more constructive :D

I always said id never go to CDJ's but ended up buying a cheapo
deck a month ago, was amazed at how easy it was to cue / beatmatch.

Really impressed, so you could say im a sort of convert ;)

I would love to go the CDJ route, but I find less and less music that I like these days, and that means that it would take forever for the CDJs to pay themselves back in terms of savings made on tunes.

I only have the one atm just to see how much i would use it.

I simply cant justify spending £1000 + on a pair of "proper CDJs", especially
looking at the money we have spent on our wedding is racking up to 15 - 20k!

I wish we could have run off to Gretna Green :D

Mine have been paid back by now for sure. It's the DJM 800 I am still paying off lol was a bit overkill but hell i was going to buy a new DJM 600 for £600 so getting a DJM 800 for £750 just seemed the right thing to do. Plus I am now finally getting to grips with some of the effects.

I'll never go down the software route though :( :(

I like the idea of Final Scratch/Serato Scratch, but can't be arsed with getting a laptop n such.

Nice kit there,

How much were the CD Decks? The ones I've seen are like 1K+ for 2 which is a lot.
