Post your dock, right now!

Just a point for those spotlight users, I recommend Alfred [mac app store link] in my opinion a much better way of launching apps and finding files, even for files on dropbox etc

Only had my Mac a week so it's not very cluttered yet :p

Edit: Also, thanks ^187 for the Alfred recommendation - just installed it and I quite like it :)

I've just thrown the demo of Launchbar on to try it and it's already frustrating me. I open an application called "Aether" daily and the way I normally do it is to tap cmd-space and then start typing the name of the file I open within Aether, ie "logbook". Launchbar is totally failing to find logbook. Similarly, I open a document called "HF Bands" which is a Pages document regularly, when I start typing in Launchbar it clears the search after HF when I hit space and then searches on Bands instead.

It doesn't seem to find anything in my documents folder and I can't find anywhere that I can check what it's searching. What am I missing?

Have you checked the indexes? Check what it is actually indexing...

Launchbar can take some getting used to but if you put the time in you can become adept at doing a hell of a lot of things without taking your hands off the keyboard. It is more than an App launcher. It's like Quicksilver only a tiny bit better and still supported!

Check out the ScreencastsOnline tutorials... it helped me as I was ready to give up on LaunchBar (was just using it as an app launcher at the time)
