I don't know if it's fair to say I "owned" it, it was a christmas present from my parents and I was about 10 I think so I certainly couldn't have purchased it myself.

Cyrix 486 DX2 66 processor
8mb RAM
500mb RAM
Soundblaster 16
4x CD ROM Drive

I can't remember if it had any sort of dedicated graphics. I remember my friend at the time though had a Voodoo 2 card that was apparently awesome at the time lol. I spent most of my time playing Monkey Island 2, Dune 2, Day of the Tentacle and Worms on it :D

It was AST branded and it was one of those all in one things. The part with the components in it was like a drawer in the back.

Before the PC I'd had a Commodore 64 and an Amiga 1200.

AMD 233hmz (think K2 maybe - upgraded to a K6 I think)

Pentium 166 MMX
32mb Ram (4 Simms)
Diamond Stealth 1mb 2D card
ISA Sound card
14 inch monitor at an eye watering 1024*768 and an eye killing 60 hertz refresh!
1.6GB Quantum fireball HD
14.4K US Robotics Modem (forget playing Quake)

I remember I could just about run half life on it but couldnt install any other big games alongside other stuff. I got a 6mb Voodoo Rush (2mb 2D, 4mb 3D) card after and it was the worst supported graphics card in existence.
I tried to play team fortress on it and half the time it would time out to the server whilst trying to load everything into RAM. I found if you played it in software rendering mode it would work...but look horrific.

Still... I thought it was awesome!
I upgraded to a new built PC a while after and I remember paying an eye watering £96 for a 32mb DIMM. Kids these days... they don't know they're born!
