a lot of sweat and tears on this but delighted as a DIY'er. If anyone wants anymore I have plenty of pics of during the work.

Step by step please!? Any tips?

Looking to do something similar myself.

I’ve been dreading the weather getting better as we will be using the garden more. The weather this/last year has wrecked a lot of the fencing and it all needs fixing/replacing and it’s going to cost a lot. I know the majority here are blessed with basic DIY skills but I am not :p what are the day rates for gardeners/landscapers nowadays?

Impossible to tell you Tbh.

What actually needs doing? If fence panels need replacing and you have wood posts still intact you just screw them together

A couple of years ago when i got part of my garden revamped (grass, slabs, sleepers) the guys i got round were on approx £120 per day with materials on top. Another guy that i had quote was on a similar day rate as well but could have been less if I'd labour for him that week. That would possibly be your min day rate cost?

If you're talking about having it landscaped you'll usually be quoted a flat fee for the depending on the work done, fencing contractors will usually be separate, if you're talking gardening maintenence after its finished then £15/h would be a typical rate at least it was a couple of years ago around here.

Here's mine today. Need to get the pressure washer on the slabs to give them a clean.

No prizes for guessing the area of the lawn where my dog pees :D

That's the perfect size IMO (if referring to @LiE's). Who wants to be forever maintaining anything bigger?

He can't be talking about my house, it was built in the 1940s :p

I agree the size of my garden is perfect. To give an idea of scale, the log cabin at the back is 5m x 3m. Also out of view next to the house is a patio with a 5 seater dinning area and a bike shed.
